“I'm null too, unit."
When I first read the first sentence, I was super thrilled and still am. I mean, first of all they are going to the moon and they called each other “unit.” Going to the moon must mean they are wayyyyy advanced in technology. As I read on, I really started to notice a few things. For example, when Titus said, "We had the lesions that people were getting..." I stopped and was like, "A LESION!?" So I got a bit confused. I looked it up and it means "a wound or injury", and I flipped out. I was all crazy and thought to myself, who would want to get a lesion? And I can’t believe it is a TREND! That is “Whoa.” I kept reading until I got to the part where Quendy was all panicking about her lesion spreading. I thought that was a bit insane until it reminded me of TATOOS. Probably because it had to do with skin cutting. I don’t think anything caused them, they probably went to get it at some special store like, someone who wants tattoo or plastic surgery.Okay so nevermind about the lesion being a trend, during the class discussion that we had, the lesions appears on their own. So ignore what I just wrote. The leasions are getting real bad though on the characters.
The FEED is always be blabbing something. Like, when Quendy and Calista always changed their hairstyle, I thought that was unnecessary but it made me think about my surroundings and myself. We all always want the newest thing. For example if girls were wearing skinny jeans, we all wear skinny jeans. It tells us that TRENDS are still going on but it is more used in the book FEED because they get the trend right then. Still, the part about the lesions still freaked me out. I think that is creepy especially when Quendy had those BIG cuts all over her. They weren’t even cuts! It's like her skins are splitting. I thought that was just sick in a weird way. That got me thinking- what the heck is she doing to herself? Did she do it because she wants attention just like present girls are doing? I even question myself that. Not saying that all girls do crazy things like that to get a guy's attention. I think that is just absurd.
I wished to be on the moon for spring break. Wait, never mind. I think space is kind of creepy itself, after all the FEED already creep me out. I don’t think I want people to control me or just this chip implanted in my head. I thought of spring break as a relax week for me. This is random, but the "things" they buy is very expensive. On page 34, Titus was talking about a $789.99 tachyon short and shipping, that was expensive. What in the world happen to their world? Or shall I say ours? The malfunctioning is interesting. It's like future drugs. I think that is insane. Some things are helpful but some things are “blah.” Like what NicK Lee said, some things are useful and somethings shouldnt even exist.
Anyways units and unettes, I shall come back when the FEED isn’t calling me.
